Are the brain’s pathways like muscles that get larger when used or atrophy when not used?

Basically yes, They may not get larger or shrink but they do vary in complexity. The more you use it the more connections you grow in the brain. When you don’t use it the connections atrophy. So truly if you don’t use it, you lose it.

there is most likely scientific research on this and i will bet the answer is yes but probably not in the literal sense…..i say yes absolutely….there are these new games out (and im sure you have seen them) that are on tv that are supposed to keep your mind sharp and i am positive that they help…when you stop training your brain it becomes lazy
