Long-term effects have been to known to contribute to certain health problems, especially cancer.

Short-term (as well as long-term) stress can cause a weak immune system, acne, a slowed metabolism, and depression. In rare cases psychosis can occur.

Overall lowering of the health of the person if allowed to persist for sometime ,can lead to psychotic behavior, and social distress….
